Simmons Bayou, Port St. Joe

Simmons Bayou is an unincorporated area south of Port Saint Joe. About a seven minute drive from my house to Cecil G. Costin Senior Boulevard, otherwise known as State Road 71. It's a quiet, peaceful and very scenic area.

Hurricane Michael Storm Surge and Wind Forces Brutalized the Area with Significant Damage

The St. Joe Shrimp Company is rebuilding. Triple Tails Oyster Bar and Grill is no more. Presnell’s RV Resort & Bayside Marina with boat ramp is operational. Gulf Coast Vacation Rentals is open, Indian Pass Marina not so. Many homes were damaged, some leveled some repaired.

Simmons Bayou is a water adventure waiting to happen. Fishing, birding, scalloping, and boating are favorite pastimes, I enjoy the beautiful sunsets.
